Rascally Rabbits

With Spring finally here and Easter around the corner, I wanted to start a lesson on rabbits with my Kinders. We are doing non-fiction information about rabbits using the Super 3 this week and after spring break we will cover some fiction stories with rabbits (such as Henry and the Buccaneer Bunnies, Listen Buddy, and Muncha Muncha Muncha). After planning questions we have and sources we can use to gather information on rabbits, I had the kids brainstorm what they had learned about rabbits to complete some sentences. Here are some of the ideas they came up with.

Rabbits are brown and white and black. Rabbits have homes. Rabbits have 2 eyes. Rabbits live in a burrow. Rabbits can hop and eat.

Rabbits are little. Rabbits have big feet. Rabbits live in holes. Rabbits can dig.

Rabbits are plant eaters. Rabbits have big ears. Rabbits live in a burrow. Rabbits can hop.

Rabbits are animals. They are black, white, brown, and gray. Rabbits have pretty ears. Rabbits live underground. Rabbits can hop.
