3-2-1

100_0707I have been very behind on posting the last month or two but I have lots to share! The end of the school year is so busy and we just had our last day with students on the 11th, so now I have a little time to catch you all up on some of the things we have been doing!

I did this activity with 1st graders to practice using non-fiction books. I let them choose from books I had pulled (so they would be an appropriate reading level, but they could choose what interested them). Then, they completed a 3-2-1 sheet. This covers 3 things they learned, 2 interesting facts, and 1 question they still have. They worked with a partner if they wanted to and really seemed to enjoy it! It is nice to give them some time to just explore something they are interested in. I think I got the form from Teachers Pay Teachers as a free download but I couldn’t find it again to link to it – if it is yours, let me know and I will link it! (Edited to add, thanks to a reader, here is the link! )
